Taleya brings an array of skills, knowledge, and experience to Wallin Education Partners. Her primary responsibility is managing the selection process by collaborating with partner high schools, students and their families, community-based organizations, and vendors. Her goal each year is to align day-to-day efforts to build a class of scholars that is reflective of the mission and vision of the organization.
Taleya graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Urban and Regional Policy. She is also a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute. She began her professional career as a tax professional at one of the Big 4 accounting firms and she worked at the City of Minneapolis coordinating logistics for Urban Scholars, a 12-week leadership development summer internship program. Between her time at the City and joining Wallin Education Partners, she had a brief international excursion to Armenia as a trainee for the U.S. Peace Corps.
Taleya is passionate about student financial success and volunteers on many different projects that further this goal.
