As Marketing and Communications Associate, Jean Carlos uses creative tools to share the mission, tell the story of Wallin EP, and engage others to support our scholars. Through Alumni Relations efforts, he also helps program alumni connect and grow long after they graduate.

Jean Carlos is a former Wallin EP scholar. He knows the impact of what financial aid and academic support can mean for our students. After graduating from Blaine High School, he spent 3 years at Iowa State University and then graduated from Metropolitan State University in December 2018 with a Bachelors in Marketing.

Jean Carlos has experience with creative marketing in many different settings. He has started two different non-profits in high school and then in college; he has worked in several large organizations like Make a Wish Foundation and Comcast NBC Universal; and he has done freelancing in graphic design, web design, and branding for a number of years.

Outside of Wallin EP, Jear Carlos is passionate about creative projects, startups, social justice, hanging out with friends, biking, exploring the city, and traveling. He watches Parks and Rec, The Office, and anything on Netflix that will make him laugh. He is excited about working with students and the mission of Wallin EP to help them succeed.
