Taleya brings an array of skills, knowledge, and experience to Wallin Education Partners along with her perspective growing up in the Midwest. She graduated from Champlin Park High School in Champlin, MN and continued her education at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. After graduating, she returned to Minnesota to work as a Tax Associate at a large public accounting firm assisting expatriates and foreign nationals with their U.S. tax compliance requirements for their job assignments to and from the United States. This was a wonderful career path for her; however, she felt a deeper calling to prepare future generations for economic success.
She decided to go back to her alma mater to pursue her Master of Science degree in Urban and Regional Policy with an emphasis in workforce development and economic development. After graduating, she worked at the City of Minneapolis coordinating logistics for Urban Scholars, a 12-week leadership development summer internship program. Between her time at the City and joining Wallin Education Partners in November 2015, she had a brief international excursion to Armenia as a trainee with the U.S. Peace Corps. As of April 2016, she is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute. Taleya loves to travel both domestically and internationally and has been to some unique locations. She is quite crafty and loves to write.
