Jerri brings a wealth of experience working with underserved students to the Advising Team. Upon graduating from Syracuse University in New York, where she majored in Theater and minored in Sociology and Women’s Studies, Jerri served as an Ameri-Corps volunteer in the Chicago Public Schools. This experience led her to pursue a Master’s of Social Work at the University of Chicago. After receiving her Master’s degree, she worked in Chicago as a coordinator for two statewide youth violence prevention programs. After moving to Minneapolis, Jerri worked at the University of Minnesota as a program coordinator for the Student Parent HELP Center.
A licensed independent social worker, Jerri volunteers time as a field supervisor for students in the Master’s of Social Work program at the University of Minnesota. She also continues to exercise her love for music, theater, and the arts.
